PISCATAWAY, N.J.- Two sophomores from Rutgers swimming and diving were named to the Big Ten's preseason Watch List.
Bailee Sturgill and
Ana Hazlehurst were both recognized by the conference office.

Sturgill excelled in her freshman season 'On the Banks' last season as she was named the team's Newcomer of the Year. The diver from Noblesville, Ind. Was named Big Ten All-Freshman and was an NCAA Qualifier on the 1M, 3M and Platform. Sturgill was crowned the NCAA Zone A platform champion and at the Big Ten Championships, she led the Scarlet Knights in qualifying for finals on both 1M and platform. In mid-May at the USA Diving Championships, Sturgill won gold as co-champion on women's synchronized 3M and teamed up with classmateÂ
Katerina Hoffman to take bronze on women's synchronized platform. She was also a finalist on senior women's 3M, placing fifth.

Hazlehurst is set to begin her sophomore season at RU as her first year in Piscataway following a transfer from another Big Ten school in Indiana. Set to swim in butterfly and IM, she hails from Lutherville Timonium, just outside of Baltimore, Maryland. She was the top female recruit from class of 2024 from Maryland, a USA Swimming Nationals qualifier, seven-time individual state senior champion, and five-time Maryland Swimming LSC Champion She also broke a 31-year-old 100 breast record set by Olympic gold medalist Anita Nall

Rutgers swimming and diving is set to start the upcoming season this October. The team's season opener comes in a home meet on Saturday, October 11 when the team hosts St. Bonaventure and Fordham. Â
