Prior to Rutgers: Played two years at Terry Fox and three years at Culver … named team’s Top Attackman in sophomore season at Terry Fox, as team went undefeated and won Provincial High School Championship … helped Culver win MSLCA Championship all three seasons …team captain as a senior … was named First Team all-league, Inter-AC Champion, and John Yeager Award winner … two-time Canadian national field lacrosse champion, where he was named the top attackman at nationals … two-time provincial box lacrosse champion, where he was named to the league all-star team and was provincial tournament MVP … two-time national box championship silver medalist with Team BC, where he was tied for the team’s scoring lead … two-time honor roll recipient … parents are Tim and Renee Gillespie … has two brothers, Jake and Justin … cousin, Travis Gillespie, played in the NLL and coaches the Taiwan Men’s Lacrosse National Team.
