Big Ten Freshman of the Week (March 22, 2022)

2023: Played in 13 games at short-stick defensive midfield ... caused five turnovers and had three ground balls ... also had two assists ... had a ground ball in season-opening win over Marist (Feb. 4) ... caused a turnover in win over Stony Brook (Feb. 11) ... had an assist in win over Princeton (March 11) ... had one ground ball and one caused turnover against both No. 7 Johns Hopkins (April 1) and No. 4 Maryland (April 16) ... dished out one assist and caused one turnover at No. 5 Penn State (April 21) ... caused one turnover in loss to No. 7 Maryland (April 29).

2022: Played in all 19 games at long-stick midfield ... posted 15 ground balls and seven caused turnovers with one ground ball ... recorded one ground ball and one caused turnover in win at Stony Brook (Mar. 5) ... had two ground balls and caused a turnover at No. 7 Princeton (March 11) ... had three ground balls and caused a turnover in team's win over Lafayette (March 15) ... scored a goal, had two ground balls along with recording a caused turnover in win at Hofstra (Mar. 19) ... named Big Ten Freshman of the Week following the performance ... scooped two ground balls in win vs. No. 8/9 Ohio State (Mar. 27) ... recorded a ground ball in win vs. Johns Hopkins (Apr. 3) ... had a ground ball along with a caused turnover at No.1 Maryland (Apr. 10)  ... had ground ball and caused turnover in win over No. 12 Ohio State in Big Ten Semifinals (May 5) ... had ground ball in 19-9 home win over No. 14/17 Harvard in NCAA Tournament First Round (May 15) ... had a ground ball and caused turnover in Final Four against No. 10 Cornell (May 28)

Prior to Rutgers: Four-year varsity lacrosse letterwinner … member of the U-17 USA national team … as a senior, team captain was named all-conference and Second Team All-State … earned team’s Tyler Campbell Lacrosse Award … on Under Armour All-American Senior Watch List … named to Legends Chrome Classic All Tourney Team and was Nike National Team All Star with Team Maryland … as a sophomore, was All-District selection and earned team’s Iron Man award … also played football as a two-year varsity starter … parents are Robert and Kelly … has two older brother who both played collegiate lacrosse … Ripken played for Virginia Military Institute while Reece played for Roanoke College
