
Rutgers Field Hockey Earns BIG EAST Honors

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (October 15, 2012) - Junior goalkeeper Sarah Stuby (Roxbury, N.J.) and Danielle Freshnock (Middletown, N.J.) were recognized for their efforts this past weekend and named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Freshnock led the Scarlet Knights (8-7) with a two-goal effort in the 3-1 win over conference opponent Louisville. The junior forward is second on the team in points (14), and is tied for second in both goals (5) and assists (4). Freshnock has career and season highs in each of these categories.
RU's goalkeeper Stuby recorded five saves in the win over Louisville, and amassed ten saves in the 2-0 loss to a tough No.14 Lafayette squad. Stuby has totaled 77 saves on the season, and with four games remaining, she is looking to top her 81 stops from last season.
