MLAX Alumn Jack Emmer Inducted to IMCLA Hall of Fame

BALTIMORE - Rutgers lacrosse alumni Jack Emmer was inducted into the inaugural Hall of Fame class of the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) last month. Emmer lettered at Rutgers as a defenseman from 1965 to 1967.
Emmer was a team captain in 1967, and was named Second Team All-American and participated in the North/South Game. He also won the team's William Miller Trophy.
Emmer went into coaching after his playing career, serving as a head coach from 1970 to 2005 at Cortland State, Washington & Lee, and Army. He compiled a career record of 326-184. He won the Morris Touchstone Award (USILA Division I Coach of the Year) in 1974 at Washington & Lee. Previously, Emmer was inducted into the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1987.
