Nov 20 | Men's Lacrosse
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2018 campaign. The Scarlet Knights will play a 14-game slate, with eight home games at High Point Solutions Stadium and six on the road.
The season begins on Feb. 3 as RU hosts Robert Morris. The Scarlet Knights will face five teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season, including both participants in last year's NCAA Championship Game.
The team will play nine non-conference games to open the year. The Scarlet Knights will host three conference games, welcoming Johns Hopkins, Penn State and Michigan, as part of a five-game league schedule that includes road trips to Maryland and Ohio State. This season's Big Ten Tournament will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan from May 3-6.
"I have been very pleased with our fall practices and workouts thus far as our spring schedule will be very challenging for us," head coach Brian Brecht said. "We have a talented senior class and many players that have played in some very big games for us over the past two years. I am hoping that those experiences and our maturity will allow us to grow each week of the season. Our non-conference competition will no doubt challenge us both at home and on the road this year, and prepare us for the month of April when we face all our Big Ten opponents. "
