Jul 27 | Men's Lacrosse
The Major League Lacrosse season completed in unique fashion, with the league completing its entire schedule within just eight days, with action taking place in Annapolis, Maryland. Five former Scarlet Knights were on active rosters for the league to take part in the event.
Three former Scarlet Knights were on one squad, as Michael Rexrode, Kyle Pless and Garrett Michaeli reunited with the Denver Outlaws. The trio excelled throughout the week to spearhead the team’s defense, leading the squad to an appearance in the championship game.
Chad Toliver played for the Philadelphia Barrage, serving a key role for the team as a short-stick defensive midfielder. Kris Alleyne rounded out the group, serving as the backup goalkeeper for the Connecticut Hammerheads. Toliver and Alleyne also used the platform to make a statement for social justice standing at midfield for the national anthem in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Rexrode was the Outlaws’ top defenseman throughout the tournament, constantly drawing matchups against the league’s top attackmen. He finished the week with nine ground balls and four caused turnovers. He was a finalist for Major League Lacrosse's Defensive Player of the Year award.

Pless was a force for the Outlaws with his long stick and reach. He finished the season tied for the league lead with 10 caused turnovers and scooped 10 ground balls.

Michaeli made his debut this season for the Outlaws. He collected seven ground balls and caused a turnover.

Toliver scored his first professional goal in his first game of the season, and later added three ground balls and had a caused turnover.

Alleyne was the backup goalkeeper for the Connecticut Hammerheads. The team went 3-2, the second best record in the league. He was a finalist for Major League Lacrosse's Man of the Year award.

Next up in professional lacrosse is the Premier Lacrosse League. The Scarlet Knights will be represented by Joe Nardella on the Whipsnakes and Christian Mazzone on the Archers.
