| ABOUT THE SCARLET KNIGHTS |
- Rutgers split its second-ever series with Nebraska last weekend in the Scarlet Knights' first home games of 2021. The Scarlet Knights bounced back from 12-3 and 8-1 losses to end the weekend on a high note with a 10-6 win in the nightcap on Saturday and a 2-1 victory in the series finale.
- Graduate student Gabrielle Callaway, who hit .500 last weekend with a trio of home runs, moved to the top of the stat sheet and enters the weekend batting .343 on the year on an eight-game hitting streak. Callaway leads RU with 23 hits, 13 RBIs and four home runs. Her four home are tied for second in the Big Ten, while her 23 hits rank her ninth in the league.
- Sophomore Payton Lincavage, meanwhile, is .297 at the plate and is the Scarlet Knights' leader in runs scored and seventh in the Big Ten with 14.
- Sophomore right-hander Ashley Hitchcock, who got the decision in all four contests last week with the Cornhuskers, leads the pitching corps with 65.2 innings and four complete games under her belt with 40 strikeouts.

- The Lady Lions enter the weekend at 1-18 overall with the lone win coming against in a 7-5 victory in the series finale at Nebraska in the first week of campus competition.
- Last weekend, Penn State dropped three games hosting in hosting Ohio State.
- Melody Coombs leads PSU hitting .286 with eight hits, including a pair of home runs, six hits and four RBIs.
- Chelsea Bisi has also collected eight hits and bats .211 on the year, leading the Lady Lions with three doubles.
- Inside the circle, Bailey Parshall had made a team-leading 11 appearances with 54.1 innings pitched and four complete games. She holds a 3.35 ERA and has struck out 57 on the year.
| NEBRASKA SERIES RECAP |
- Callaway ended the weekend hitting .500 with six hits, including a trio of long-distance balls and a double. She totaled five runs and eight RBIs over the four-game series.
- Hitchcock battled back from the first two losses of the series for the 10-6 win in Saturday's nightcap and Sunday's 2-1 victory. Altogether, the sophomore pitched 14.2 innings and sent down seven Cornhuskers on strikes.
- In Saturday's game two 10-6 victory, Callaway broke a 5-5 tie in the fifth taking a long ball straight into center field for the Scarlet Knights' first grand slam since March 16, 2019. Freshman Kayla Bock added in an insurance run in the sixth with her first career home run.
- In the series finale on Sunday, Callaway hit home run number three of the series and her fourth of the season to overcome a 1-0 deficit off her two-run shot to left. Hitchcock got her second-straight win going the distance for her fourth complete game of 2021. While Nebraska combined for 32 hits in the first three games of the series, the sophomore right-hander limited the Cornhuskers to just two hits and struck out two.
