LIMERICK, Ireland - Two current Rutgers student-athletes earned medals this week while competing on the national stage. Shane Knobloch helped lead Team USA to a gold medal, while Ross Scott and Team Canada claimed a silver medal.
Knobloch was a key contributor for the tournament champions, posting seven goals and three assists for 10 points from the midfield. He was fifth in goals for the champion American team.

Knobloch excelled as a sophomore in 2022 for the Scarlet Knights, following up his Big Ten Freshman of the Year campaign with new career-best outputs. The Moorestown, N.J. native posted 32 goals and 17 assists for 48 points, including a team-best three goals in the NCAA Quarterfinal win. He also collected 22 ground balls and six caused turnovers. He was named Honorable Mention All-American, First Team All-Big Ten and All-ECAC.
Scott excelled for Team Canada, earning a place on the All-World Team and being named the event's Most Outstanding Attacker. Scott produced 28 points on 17 goals and 11 assists, most on any of the three medalist teams. Overall, he was third in assists and eighth in points and goals.

Scott had a breakout season in transitioning to a new role as a starting attackman as a junior. He led the Scarlet Knights in scoring, as he posted 50 goals and 25 assists along with 32 ground balls. He tied for the most goals in a single-season in RU program history. Scott was named a Third Team All-American, Second Team All-Big Ten, All-ECAC, and to the All-Tournament teams for the NCAA Tournament and Big Ten Tournament.
Rutgers' volunteer assistant coach Peter Dolan also traveled to Limerick for the event. Dolan served as an assistant coach for Team Ireland, who claimed seventh place in the event.
