Four Divers Set To Compete At NCAA Zones

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Four Scarlet Knights will be in action this week at the NCAA Zone A Championships hosted by West Virginia at the Aquatics Center at Myland Park.
Sophomores Holly Prasanto and Giulia Vittorioso will compete on 1-meter, 3-meter and platform, while graduate student Jenna Douglass will take the boards on 1-meter and 3-meter and senior Savana Trueb will dive on 1-meter and platform.
The top five finishers from 1-meter and top six performers on 3-meter and platform will qualify for the 2023 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships being held on March 15-18 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Prasanto was a two-time NCAA zone finalist last season. She took sixth on 1-meter and finished seventh on 3-meter in her first season "On The Banks". The sophomore is among the Rutgers all-time top 10 on all three boards with the seventh-highest finish on 3-meter (324.80) and tenth-highest scores on both 1-meter (292.05) and platform (228.25) all captured at December's Hawkeye Challenge. During the dual meet season, Prasanto won 1-meter crowns against Northeastern and Harvard and took the 3-meter crown versus Purdue.
Vittorioso makes her second NCAA zone appearance after placing ninth on 1-meter and 18th on 3-meter last season as a freshman. During the dual meet season, she won 1-meter titles against Nebraska, as well as at the Hawkeye Challenge where she captured the fourth-highest score at Rutgers with a 312.55. Additionally, the sophomore took home a trio of 3-meter titles against Nebraska, Villanova and Northeastern. On platform, Vittorioso was the runner-up at the Hawkeye Challenge notching the fifth-highest score in RU history with a 272.85.
Trueb will be making her fourth NCAA Zone appearance. Last season, she was an NCAA qualifier on 1-meter, 3-meter and platform. At zones, she was the runner-up on platform, a fourth-place finisher on 3-meter and took third on 1-meter. At the 2023 Big Ten Championships, Trueb was a fourth-place finisher in the consolation final of platform and a seventh-place finisher in 1-meter consolation finals. During the dual meet season, she recorded the fifth-highest score in Rutgers history as the runner-up on 1-meter at the Hawkeye Challenge scoring 310.10. The Scarlet Knight also holds the second-highest score on platform (295.60) from her performance at the 2021 Big Al Invitational. Prior to arriving at Rutgers, Trueb won the 2021 SEC platform title at Missouri, was a two-time NCAA qualifier on platform and also appeared on 1-meter at the 2021 NCAA Championships.
Douglass is a four-time NCAA zone qualifier including being an NCAA zone finalist on 1-meter and platform as a junior in 2021. Among her top performances this season included a third-place finish on 1-meter at Northeastern and a third-place finish on 3-meter against Villanova. Last season she placed 32nd on 3-meter and 37th on 1-meter along with a seventh-place consolation final finish on 1-meter at the Big Ten Championships.
