Ethan Rall Added By PLL’s Cannons
May 12 | Men's Lacrosse
Rall was picked up as an undrafted free agent
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The newest product of Rutgers' men's lacrosse to join professional lacrosse is Ethan Rall, who was picked up by the PLL's Cannons franchise.
Rall is a two-time First Team All-American, earning the honor for this season earlier in the day from USA Lacrosse Magazine. The long-stick midfielder was a disruptive presence all over the field for the Scarlet Knights, causing 21 turnovers and collecting 49 ground balls. A Second Team All-Big Ten selection, Rall finished his 62-game Rutgers career with 85 caused turnovers, setting a new program record. The Islip, N.Y. native and team captain was a two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, finishing second in the league in caused turnovers per game and sixth in the Big Ten in ground balls per game (second among non-faceoff specialists).
Rutgers men's lacrosse has established a strong pipeline to the professional ranks. Last season, RU was represented by 11 players on PLL rosters. Last season's total was tied for third most among all colleges and is second most among Big Ten schools. Overall, Rall marks the 29th Rutgers player to have been selected or played for professional lacrosse teams since head coach Brian Brecht took the helm of the program in 2012.
Rutgers boasts a total of 42 alumni all-time between Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and the National Lacrosse League (NLL)
