
Knobloch and Rall Named All-ECAC

Each named to the First Team
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers' men's lacrosse saw Ethan Rall and Shane Knobloch receive additional postseason honors this week. The duo was each named First Team All-ECAC.
Rall was previously named a First Team All-American, his third straight All-American season. The long-stick midfielder caused 21 turnovers and collected 49 ground balls. A Second Team All-Big Ten selection, Rall finished his 62-game Rutgers career with 85 caused turnovers, setting a new program record. The Islip, N.Y. native was a two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, finishing second in the league in caused turnovers per game and sixth in the Big Ten in ground balls per game (second among non-faceoff specialists).Rall was All-ECAC and the ECAC Defensive Player of the Year last season.
Knobloch was also named a Second Team All-American, his third time in his three seasons "On the Banks" as an All-American. The Second Team All-Big Ten selection scored 21 goals and added 17 assists for 38 points, sharing the team-high in assists and was second on the team in points. The Moorestown, N.J. native, had five multi-goal games including four hat tricks and had three games of at least five points, highlighted by a seven-point day in a win over No.5 Loyola. The midfielder scored the game-winning goal in overtime in the team's win over eventual Big Ten Tournament champion Michigan. Knobloch was also named First Team All-ECAC last season.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-two-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III.
