RU SSDM Tabbed for All-Star Event
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse senior Brandon Hund was named to the roster for the annual Senior All-Star game, it was announced by the USILA. The game will be held this Friday at Widener University, with the Division I-Division II game at 6 p.m.
Hund completed his fifth collegiate season this year as a graduate student at RU. The short-stick defensive midfielder played in 13 games, compiling 20 ground balls, three assists, two caused turnovers and one goal.
A native of Clark, N.J., Hund played his first four seasons of collegiate lacrosse at Towson, where he was a three-time team captain. The Arthur L. Johnson High School product played in 64 total collegiate games, scoring two goals and adding 13 assists, 68 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers. He was also previously drafted by the NLL's Philadelphia Wings (Fifth Round of the 2023 College Draft).
With Hund's selection, RU continues a proud tradition of representation at the annual North-South Game, which dates back to 1940. Rutgers will count 136 players all-time participating in the all-star event. RU has 22 representatives in the game over the past eight years (six eligible games), dating back to game MVP Scott Bieda in 2016. Rutgers did not have any players in the 2022 All-Star Game as the team was participating in the Final Four that weekend.
