Cardin Stoller Named to USILA Team of the Week

Goalkeeper Recognzied for Holding Villanova to Low Goal Output
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse goalkeeper Cardin Stoller was named to the USILA Team of the Week. Stoller earned the recognition for his performance against Villanova last Saturday.
Stoller was previously named Big Ten Specialist of the Week on Tuesday for his performance as well. The Owings Mills, Md. native made 14 saves and led the Scarlet Knights to 8-7 win over the Wildcats by allowing just one goal over the final 42 minutes of game time.
Stoller earns his third career placement on the USILA Team of the Week. The redshirt junior was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, a Preseason All-American and a Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch entering this season.
Cardin Stoller stands first in the Big Ten in saves per game, second in save percentage and third in goals-against-average through five contests. Stoller has stopped 58 shots for a save percentage of 57.4% and holds a goals-against-average of 8.91.
Stoller and the Scarlet Knights are back in action at home on Saturday. RU will host Hofstra at 3 pm on Youth Lacrosse Day at SHI Stadium to close out a three-game homestand.
