RU Midfielder Picked for 3-Game Test Series against Scotland
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers field hockey midfielder Anna Cogdell was selected by Team England for their U-21 squad. Cogdell will play in a 3-test series against Team Scotland's U-21 squad. The games will be held at the Bowdon Hockey Club on June 19-21.
A native of Badingham, England, Cogdell has excelled in two years 'On the Banks'. A starter from the moment she arrived on campus in all 35 games, she had scored three goals with six assists for 12 collegiate points through her sophomore season.
Cogdell was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team in 2024. She was a Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch and NFHCA Collegiate Watch List pick heading into last season. Academically, she has been named Academic All-Big Ten and twice on the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
A product of Framlingham College, she previously was a trialist for the English U-21 squad and played for the U-18 squad in the 2023 European Championships.
