Angelino “Lino” Mark is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound point guard known for his speed, explosiveness, and high basketball IQ. Bringing a strong winning pedigree from the West Coast, Mark arrives in Piscataway this fall ready to make an immediate impact.

2024–25 High School Season at Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, CA):

• Started and played in all 21 games, averaging 15.1 points and 3.2 assists per game, leading Sherman Oaks to an 18–3 record.

• Collected 78 total rebounds (62 defensive), 39 steals, and 10 blocks.

• Shot 48% from the field, 77% from the free-throw line, and just under 40% from three-point range.

• Scored a season-high 27 points vs. Saugus High School (Nov. 23).

• Reached the 1,000-point milestone vs. Bishop Alemany (Jan. 22); finished his high school career with 1,104 points and 272 assists.

• Posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Village Christian (Dec. 6).

• Signed his National Letter of Intent to Rutgers on November 13, 2024.

Accolades & Achievements:

• Received 14 Division I scholarship offers, including West Virginia, USC, Arizona State, and Seton Hall.

• Rated a 4-star recruit and ranked:

  • No. 15 point guard in California

  • No. 15 overall player in California

  • No. 129 nationally (per 247Sports)

• Scored over 1,000 career points at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

AAU / EYBL Career:

• Excelled with the prestigious Oakland Soldiers program, averaging: 15.9 points, 4.9 rebounds. 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals over 33 games in his junior season.

• Teammate of fellow 2025 Rutgers commit Chris Nwuli.

• Helped the Soldiers finish 2nd in their EYBL conference with a 14–1 record.

• Played for a program known for elite alumni, including LeBron James, Kendrick Perkins, and Chauncey Billups.

Personal:

• Comes from a basketball family—his brother, Christopher, and uncle, Jhonny, both played professionally overseas.

• Proud of his Filipino heritage, Mark shares a cultural bond with former Scarlet Knight Dylan Harper.

• His mother, Jocelle Maliwanag, fondly recalls him carrying a basketball everywhere as a child, like it was a third limb.

• Jocelle deeply connected with the Rutgers campus during their family visit and was moved by its diversity. She was especially thrilled to see Lino’s connection with Harper—and coincidentally shares a birthday with Maria Harper, Dylan’s mom.

• The Mark family has strong ties to the region, with relatives in Brooklyn, NY, and Newark, NJ.

• Lino’s uncle is actor and comedian Bill Bellamy, a proud Rutgers alumnus.

• Lino grew up around the game thanks to his father, Anthony Mark, who nurtured his passion from a young age.
