PISCATAWAY, N.J. - With construction of the Fred Hill Training Complex to begin in the coming weeks, Rutgers Athletics has adjusted parking for those attending baseball and softball games this spring. Fans coming to Bainton Field or the RU Softball Complex will be asked to park at the RAC (green or yellow lots) and walk across the street.
"This is an exciting part of our Big Ten Build at Rutgers," said Pat Hobbs, Athletic Director. "We ask fans of baseball and softball to pardon our appearance during the construction of the Fred Hill Training Complex. These measures will last through this season as crews work to build an important facility for the student-athletes and coaches of these sports."
Parking in the gravel area or on the hill beyond the wall in left field at Bainton Field will not be permitted. However, fans coming for baseball can still bring chairs and watch in front of the walkway on the hill.
These parking measures go into effect starting with the softball home opener set for Tuesday, March 22 against Hofstra and will last through the 2016 season for both sports.
