Former Rutgers baseball standouts squared off at Yankee Stadium
BRONX, N.Y. – Two Scarlet Knights faced off at Yankee Stadium this week, as Todd Frazier (New York Yankees) and Patrick Kivlehan (Cincinnati Reds) each started Tuesday night. It was the first time since April 12, 2014 that two Rutgers baseball products started in the same major league game (Frazier with the Reds, David DeJesus with the Tampa Bay Rays).
RVision joined head coach Joe Litterio on Wednesday to talk to both players about their experiences at Rutgers and in the major leagues. Frazier, who is the first Scarlet Knight to don the Yankees pinstripes since Bob MacDonald in 1995, went on to hit his first homer with the team later that day.
