
Baseball Alumni Game: Oct. 19

Batting practice to begin at 11 a.m.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball invites alumni to take part in a game versus the current team on Friday, Oct. 19. Batting practice at Bainton Field is set to begin at 11 a.m. and the game starts at noon. Glen Gardner will serve as the coach for the alumni team.
Alumni interested in participating should contact director of player development Peter Barron via email (pbarron@scarletknights.com).
"I am happy to be able to bring back the Alumni Game to Bainton Field," head coach Joe Litterio said. "This was something I looked forward to back after I finished up playing here. I look forward to seeing some former players and teammates."
The weekend of Oct. 19 is also Homecoming on campus. Doug Alongi, an All-America selection in 1993, will be inducted into the Rutgers Hall of Fame and honored during the football game versus Northwestern.
In addition, the fourth annual Scarlet Knights Baseball Golf Outing will be held Oct. 8 (Columbus Day) at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township. Registration is now open. All net proceeds will be directed 100% to the Rutgers baseball program. Click here for more information.
