SUMMARY
The game was fairly even throughout the first half, with Gallagher providing a hat trick in the opening 30 minutes. Gallagher and Coyne tallied 25 seconds apart in the waning minutes of second quarter to give the home team a 6-5 advantage at the intermission.
Rutgers extended that lead to 8-5 midway through the third quarter, holding the Mountain Hawks scoreless for a 22-minute span. Following that, four straight goals provided Lehigh with a 9-8 lead after three quarters.

QUOTABLE
"My linemates Kieran and Adam put me in good spots and we were able to get good looks and I was able to finish. We just have to make more plays. Lehigh made some plays tonight. We got a little impatient down the stretch. We need to keep grinding on offense, take not necessarily the first shot but the best shot. It's back to practice, keep working, and we're focused on another game Saturday at Syracuse."
