PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's lacrosse will welcome Michigan on Saturday. The contest will begin at 3 p.m. and be nationally televised on BTN2Go, with Joe Beninati (play-by-play) and Mark Dixon (color commentary) on the call. The game will be streamed for free on the internet, then air on Big Ten Network on tape-delay at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
There will also be two radio broadcasts provided by WRSU (88.7 FM with Chris Tsakonas and Jake Schmeid on the call) and Lacrosse Talk Radio. The game will be a double-header with the women's team, as Rutgers hosts Ohio State at noon.
The game will be Senior Day, as Rutgers will honor 11 departing seniors in a postgame ceremony. Rutgers' is undefeated on Senior Day since joining the Big Ten, holding a 4-0 record with four ranked Big Ten wins. This includes victories over No. 17 Michigan (2018), No. 3 Ohio State (2017), No. 17 Penn State (2016) and No. 10 Ohio State (2015).
It is also Alumni Appreciation Day. Rutgers will hold a pregame alumni reception in the Audi Club. At halftime, Rutgers will honor the 1974, 1984 and 2004 teams on anniversaries of their NCAA Tournament appearances. RU will also commemorate the life of alumn Michael Schambach, who passed away this summer, with his name on the back of the team's jerseys and a halftime presentation.
ABOUT RUTGERS: The Scarlet Knights enter the contest at 6-6, having alternated two-game winning streaks and losing streaks all year. Each loss has come to a ranked foe, including teams ranked No. 1 and No. 3, while the Scarlet Knights' resume is highlighted by a road win at No. 4 Ohio State, which tied for the highest ranked road victory in program history.
As a team, RU ranks first in the nation in man-down defense (.833), fourth in turnovers (13.92) and clearing (.877) and fifth in saves (14.83). Individually,
Max Edelmann paces the country with 15.5 saves per game.
Kieran Mullins is fifth in assists (3.2) and sixth in points (5.4).

ABOUT MICHIGAN: Michigan enters the contest at 3-8 on the year and 0-3 in the Big Ten, currently on a seven-game losing streak following a 3-1 start to the year. The Wolverines have lost their three conference games by a combined 47-27 scoring margin. Alex Buckanavage leads the team with 23 goals and 40 points. Nick DeCaprio leads the Big Ten with 2.18 caused turnovers per game. In goal, Tommy Heidt has a .488 save percentage and 13.25 goals-against-average. UM has struggled on faceoffs, with a winning percentage of 34.8 that is 68
th of 73 Division I teams.
ABOUT THE SERIES: Rutgers and Michigan have played five times since 2012, with the Scarlet Knights winning four, including the last three matchups by a combined 42-21 margin.
Kieran Mullins has had the two top games of his career against the Wolverines. In 2017, he scored eight goals and added an assist in a 14-7 road win. He bettered that in 2018, scoring eight times and adding two assists in a career-high 10-point performance in Rutgers' 16-8 win. In that contest last season, RU raced out to a 12-0 lead, shutting out the visitors in the opening half.
