Valderrama Catch Shown on SportsCenter Top Plays

Freshman robbed homer against Villanova

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Freshman Victor Valderrama of the Rutgers baseball team appeared on SportsCenter "Top Plays" Tuesday evening. The centerfielder ranged to deep left-center to steal away a homer from Villanova at Bainton Field, which kept a 2-1 lead at the time. The play earned the sixth position.

Valderrama also threw out a runner at home in the game:
From Miami, Valderrama has started 36 games in the outfield this season, including 17 in centerfield. He has an active 22-game on-base streak as well.

The Scarlet Knights are back in action Friday at home versus Northwestern. The game is set to start at 2 p.m.
