Baseball JuCo Recruiting Class Ranked Nationally
Oct 16 | Baseball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – With Rutgers baseball into its second month of fall practice, The JBB ranked the Scarlet Knights' JuCo recruiting class 16th in the nation and third in the Big Ten. RU welcomed pitcher Nate McLain (Lackawanna CC), infielder Bradley Norton (Ohlone CC), pitcher Dale Stanavich (Herkimer CC) and pitcher Ryder Tallent (Mercer County CC) to the roster from the junior college ranks.
Overall, Rutgers added 14 newcomers to its roster for the upcoming 2021 season.
"The 2020 recruiting class consists of five freshman, three grad transfers, four junior college transfers and two four year transfers," head coach Steve Owens said. "We are extremely excited about the combination of talent and experience that this group possesses to have an immediate impact on this season's outlook. The positional breakdown (five right-handed pitchers, five left-handed pitchers, two outfielders and two infielders) is exactly what we needed to address our goal of increasing front-line pitching depth as well as having a strong deep lineup with positional flexibility. In addition to the athleticism and baseball skill in this group, we are equally pleased with the character and personalities of these guys."
