PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball and head coach Steve Owens welcome right-handed pitcher Brent Teller to the 2021 roster. The Miami, Florida, native is set to join the Scarlet Knights as a graduate transfer from Sacred Heart University. Teller brings 55 games of experience (35 starts) to Piscataway with 183 strikeouts over 222 innings.
"Brent is an experienced right-handed pitcher who has logged many innings and pitched in tons of important games as both a starter and reliever during his collegiate career," Owens said. "He is very mature and poised in his approach to pitching and has a proven track record of success. In addition, he has consistently shown the ability to step up in big games and pressure situations. Brent is very talented with his delivery and his pitches, and we believe that he will have a huge impact on our team this season and will continue on and perform at the professional level."
