Baseball Drops Game Two to Iowa

Wereski deals seven-inning complete game

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Ben Wereski pitched a seven-inning complete game with only two earned runs allowed, but Iowa (14-9) surrendered just one run to take game two of the series, 3-1, over Rutgers baseball (11-11) Saturday at Bainton Field. It was the first end of a doubleheader.

Making his seventh start of the season, Wereski did not walk a batter for the fourth time. The left-hander permitted only five hits with 14 outs through the air.
