Graduate transfer earned first team all-conference in 2021
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball and head coach Steve Owens have announced the addition of Garrett Callaghan to the program. A graduate transfer from Ithaca College, the Franklin Park, New Jersey, native will join the Scarlet Knights this fall and be part of the 2022 roster.
"Garrett has been an excellent college player for four years," Owens said. "He will bring an experienced left-handed bat with a proven record of a high batting average. In addition, he has excellent discipline that has led to high on-base percentages and a great walk-to-strikeout ratio. As he has developed and matured, his power numbers have really increased with this past season being his best. We are excited to add him to our team and expect him to be a large contributor for us."
