HONOLULU – Flying approximately 5,000 miles, Rutgers baseball plays a four-game series at Hawaii this weekend. The action begins Friday at 11:35 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with a doubleheader Saturday (seven innings, nine innings) and a single game Sunday. This is the first visit to Hawaii for the program in the furthest trip in program history.

RU is off to a 10-1 start, the best since beginning 12-1 in 1962. The current seven-game winning streak is the longest since an eight-gamer in May 2014. The team has outscored opponents 109-34 through 11 games, holds the No. 11 RPI in college baseball and leads the nation with nine road victories.

In the early going, the Scarlet Knights rank first among Big Ten teams in batting average (.334, 10
th nationally), doubles per game (3.09, second nationally), fielding percentage (.987, 14
th nationally), hits (143, 15
th nationally), on-base percentage (.434, 15
th nationally), scoring (9.9, 14
th nationally), shutouts pitched (4, tied for first nationally), slugging percentage (.533, 22
nd nationally). The pitching staff is also second in the league with a 1.16 WHIP and third with a 3.03 ERA.

Rutgers continues its spring break trip with a three-game series at Nebraska Omaha starting March 18. That will mark the final non-conference weekend before Big Ten play begins.
