PISCATAWAY, N.J.  – The Rutgers baseball team returns home on Tuesday to kick of a six-game homestand. The Scarlet Knights will host two in-state opponents in NJIT and Saint Peter's on Tuesday and Wednesday, with each game taking play at 3:00 p.m. and being streamed on Big Ten+.
Rutgers currently ranks first among Big Ten teams in batting average (.326), doubles (60), doubles/Game (2.73), Â hits (274), OBP (.419), runs (191), runs/Game (8.7), shutouts (4), WHIP (1.25), BB/9 (3.76) and OPS (.913). The team's marks in batting average (6th), doubles per game (5th), hits (9th) and shutouts (5th) are all top-10 in the nation.Â

Admission and parking are free at Bainton Field, but all vehicles are required to be
registered to comply with Rutgers University policy. Only one registration per vehicle is needed for the season.

- Rutgers won two-of-three at Penn State in its first Big Ten series of the season, splitting a doubleheader on Friday before blowing out the Nittany Lions 20-6 in the finale on Saturday.Â
- After falling behind 4-1 in the first game, RU clawed back and a 2-run double by Tony Santa Maria proved to be the difference in a 6-4 win.
- The Scarlet Knights jumped out to a 4-0 lead in game two, but the RU pitching couldn't hold off the PSU offense in an 8-6 loss.
- Rutgers scored early and often in a 20-6 thumping of Penn State in the finale. Four different players (Tony Santa Maria, Danny DiGeorgio, Ryan Lasko, Nick Cimillo) had at least four hits in the game.
- Rutgers' team batting average of .326 is 40 points higher than the next-best Big Ten team (Maryland .286).
- At .419, RU is the only Big Ten team with an OBP aver .400.
- Seven different regular Scarlet Knight starters are batting over .300
- At .439, Nick Cimillo's batting average leads the conference and is 10th in the nation. He also leads the conference with a .544 OBP and 1.288 OPS.
- Nick Cimillo and Ryan Lasko are first and second in the Big Ten in both hits (Cimillo 36, Lasko 33) and runs scored (Lasko 27, Cimillo 26).
- Rutgers has established itself as the class of the Big Ten in pitch control. The Scarlet Knights are best in the conference in both WHIP and Walks allowed per Nine Innings.
- Jared Kollar has emerged as one of the top pitchers in the country. He leads in the Big Ten and ranks 6th
in the nation in K/BB (13.00) and BB/9 (.81). His 0.91 WHIP is also best in the conference.
- The team has nine games with at least 10 strikeouts this season with a high of 16 against Omaha on March
20.
- Dale Stanavich, a member of the NCBWA Stopper of the Year watch list, leads the Big Ten with five saves.
- The three-headed bullpen monster of Ben Gorski (13.2/1.98), Stanavich (14.0/0.64) and Sam Bello
(2.04/17.2) has a combined ERA of 1.60 in 45.1 innings of relief.
- Rutgers is 6-0 all-time against NJIT and 23-3 all-time against Saint Peter's

Rutgers will host Minnesota for its first Big Ten home series of the season. The series gets started on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. and wraps up Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
