Eight Scarlet Knights Named All-Big Ten

DiGeorgio, Lasko, Stanavich all named First Team
ROSEMONT, Ill. (May 24, 2022) -- The Rutgers baseball team made more history in 2022, as a record eight student-athletes received All-Big Ten honors as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Danny DiGeorgio (SS), Ryan Lasko (OF) and Dale Stanavich (RP) were all named All-Big Ten First Team.
DiGeorgio had a stellar season, ranking second on the team with a .371 batting average, leading RU with 18 stolen bases while also being an elite defensive shortstop.
Lasko took his game to a new level after being named a freshman all-american last season, hitting .353 with 15 home runs, 12 of which came in Big Ten play.
Stanavich ranked second in the conference with 10 saves, eight of which were at least four-outs. He was nearly untouchable with a 1.84 ERA to along with 44 strikeouts to just seven walks in 29.1 innings.
Nick Cimillo (C) and Jared Kollar (SP) were both named All-Big Ten Second Team.
Cimillo led the conference with a 1.239 OPS while acting as the every day starting catcher. His 16 home runs tied for the team lead. Kollar emerged as the Friday starter and pitched to an 8-2 record with a 3.95 ERA in his first season at Rutgers.
Chris Brito (1B), Josh Kuroda-Grauer (2B) and Nathan Florence (SP) were all named All-Big Ten Third Team.
Brito was one of the top power hitters in the conference, with his 70 RBI ranking second and his 16 home runs leading Rutgers. Kuroda-Grauer hit .297 as a true freshman, while being the every day starter at second base. With 45 starts and 49 games played, Kuroda-Grauer committed just one error all season.
In his first year at Rutgers, Florence led the starting rotation with a 3.66 ERA and 80 strikeouts in his 59.0 innings pitched.
Additionally, Josh Kuroda-Grauer was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman team.
Bradley Norton was announced as the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award Honoree representing Rutgers.
