Baseball Announces 2024 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball announced its schedule for the 2024 season on Friday afternoon. RU is set for 55 regular season games, featuring five weekend series at Bainton Field and 24 home games overall. The Big Ten Tournament is once again set to take place at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha beginning on May 21, with the NCAA Tournament beginning the final weekend in May.
The Scarlet Knights open their season with a three-game series at Winthrop beginning on Feb. 16. It marks the start of five straight road weekends for Rutgers and is followed by trips to Old Dominion (Feb. 23-25), Charleston Southern (March 1-3), High Point/North Carolina A&T (March 8-10) and Delaware (March 15-17). RU will also play two midweek games at North Carolina (March 12-13) during Spring Break.
Rutgers welcomes UConn to Bainton Field for the first home weekend of the season March 22-24, with the Huskies making the return trip of the home-and-home series that began last season.
For the second straight season, RU opens Big Ten play against Michigan State, this time in East Lansing March 29-31. The rest of the conference schedule for RU consists of Purdue (Apr. 5-7), Nebraska (Apr. 13-15), at Iowa (Apr. 19-21), at Indiana (Apr. 26-28), Maryland (May 3-5), at Penn State (May 10-12) and Ohio State (May 16-18).
