PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball opens Big Ten play this weekend when it hosts Michigan State for a three-game set at Bainton Field. It marks the first home series of the season for RU, who spent the first six weekends of the season on the road.
The Spartans are 14-8 and opened conference play last weekend by taking 2-of-3 from Purdue at home. They defeated Western Michigan on the road by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday.
Rutgers was swept last weekend at UConn and picked up a 9-7 victory over NJIT at home on Wednesday.
RU will run back the same rotation for the fourth straight week, with Drew Conover starting game one on Friday, true freshman Christian Coppola starting game two and Jake Marshall starting on Sunday.
All three games of the series will be broadcast on B1G+.
Fans can also follow along on Twitter for live updates. Live stats will be available for all three games.
