PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball dropped a 13-8 contest in Michigan to even up the series. The game, which originally started at noon on Saturday, was suspended due to inclement weather on Saturday and completed on Sunday afternoon at Bainton.
The Scarlet Knights (19-16, 3-5) were jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but the the Wolverines (19-15, 7-4) scored eight unanswered runs to take the lead and ultimately win the game.
Chris Brito hit a grand slam in the first inning to give RU a 4-0 lead and Evan Sleight followed with a two-run in the second to make it 6-0.
UM came roaring back in the third and fourth innings. A double-play and wild pitch got back a pair in the third. After a passed ball added a run in the fourth to make it 6-3, a three-run home run with two outs tied game. The Wolverines followed that with a single before the game was suspended due to weather conditions.

The Wolverines punched back with three unearned runs in the eighth to make it 11-8 and then added a pair of insurance runs in the ninth to push the score to 13-8.
