Chris Brito Breaks All-Time Home Run Record
May 07 | Baseball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Chris Brito made history on Sunday afternoon, launching his 43rd career home run, breaking the Rutgers career record of 42, which had been held by Todd Frazier since 2007.
On a 1-1 count in the bottom of the fifth inning, Brito launched slider from Penn State's Travis Luensmann far over the wall in left field. It was his second of the weekend and gave Rutgers a 7-2 lead over the Nittany Lions.
With the home run, Brito also collected his 190th career RBI and is just one shy of the Rutgers program record of 191, shared by Jake Daubert and Pete Zoccolillo.
