Baseball Launches Annual Scholarship Giving Campaign
Jan 22 | Baseball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Jan. 22, 2026) – Rutgers baseball and the R Fund announced the launch of an annual giving campaign focused on scholarship support for the program.
Recent changes in the college athletics landscape include roster limits and the elimination of scholarship limits, allowing baseball programs to fully fund up to 34 scholarships annually. Because of these changes, scholarship support is now a necessary, annual investment that directly impacts the competitive success of the program.
While our new surroundings give us a place to develop and compete, our scholarship fund is what determines who takes the field. This initiative is the most critical step we can take to ensure the long-term success of our program and to remain competitive in an increasingly demanding recruiting environment.Head Coach Steve Owens
The campaign will allow supporters of Rutgers baseball to make a donation that will have an immediate impact on the program’s ability to recruit, retain and develop championship-level talent.
Your philanthropic support for this cause plays a vital role in shaping the future of Rutgers Baseball and the opportunities we provide our student-athletes. Whether your support is large or small, it makes a meaningful impact. I invite you to be a part of the Rutgers Baseball Scholarship Campaign as we continue to push toward a new era of excellence on the diamond.Head Coach Steve Owens
The campaign launches with a goal of $50,000 and donations can be made today at the R Fund website.
There is no better time than now to invest in the program. I am committed to getting Rutgers baseball back to an NCAA regional and with your support, we can get there.Head Coach Steve Owens
The Scarlet Knights are coming off a fourth consecutive winning season under head coach Steve Owens and look towards continuing the momentum in 2026, with the season set to begin Feb. 13 at Charleston.
