
Juengerkes, Splaine, Kurdyla Named Media All-American

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse had three student-athletes named All-Americans by the media voting conducted by Inside Lacrosse. Joe Juengerkes was named a Third Team All-American, while Ryan Splaine and Colin Kurdyla were named Honorable Mention All-Americans.
The listing gave RU a trio recognized on the second of three All-American listings during the postseason. Joe Juengerkes was previously recognized as a Second Team All-American on the USA Lacrosse listing, with the USILA Coaches All-Americans still to be revealed.
Juengerkes completed his second season 'On the Banks' in 2026 as a two-time team captain and a First Team All-Big Ten selection. He had 44 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers and seven points (five goals and two assists). With Juengerkes on the defensive end, RU had a top-20 scoring defense nationally while holding seven opponents to single digits. Across two seasons in a Scarlet Knight uniform, he played in 31 games, scoring 12 goals with six assists and had 99 ground balls with 29 caused turnovers. He joined the PLL's Maryland Whipsnakes for his pro lacrosse debut this weekend.
Splaine was named an All-American after excelling as a senior long-stick midfielder for the Scarlet Knights. The Rockville, Md. native had 41 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. He earned Big Ten Defensive Player earlier this year after locking down Johns Hopkins' All-American and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Matt Collison in RU's double-overtime ranked win over the Blue Jays. He was also an All-American in 2025 per USA Lacrosse Magazine.
Kurdyla was previously named a Second Team All-Big Ten selection and earns his second career All-American selection after previously being recognized last season by Inside Lacrosse. The Bridgewater, N.J. native led RU's offense with 30 goals, 27 assists and 57 points, registering eight multi-goal games. He led the Big Ten in points per game (3.8) and assists per game (1.8) and was fifth in goals per game.
