Baseball at Illinois Rained Out

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The series opener between Rutgers baseball and No. 3 Illinois has been rained out. The two teams will play a Saturday doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. ET at Illinois Field.
The Scarlet Knights will send juniors Howie Brey (Middletown, N.J.) and Mark McCoy (Barnegat, N.J.) to the mound in that order. It will be the first meeting with the Fighting Illini since 1989. Click here for the full series preview posted Thursday.
RU last played a doubleheader April 4 against Minnesota at Bainton Field, splitting the twin bill. Rutgers also played two at Miami (Feb. 14) and versus Central Michigan (March 14) this season.
