PISCATAWAY, N.J.  – The Rutgers baseball team will continue its homestand this week, taking on Iona on Tuesday and in-state rival Princeton on Wednesday, with each game taking play at 3:00 p.m. and being streamed on Big Ten+.
Rutgers currently ranks first among Big Ten teams in walks (189), batting average (.321), doubles (86), doubles/game (2.39), ERA (3.07), fielding percentage (.981), hits (430), OBP (.420), runs (335), runs/game (9.3), shutouts (4), SLG% (.506), WHIP (1.23), BB/9 (3.94) and OPS (.926). The team's marks in batting average (4th), doubles (8th), doubles/game (10th), fielding percentage (10th), ERA (4th), hits (3rd), hits allowed/nine innings (7.12, 7th) and runs (7th) are all top-10 in the nation.Â

The Scarlet Knights are the only team in the country that rank in the top 10 in batting average, earned run average and fielding percentage.Â
RU has returned to the national rankings for the first time in over a decade. Rutgers is currently ranked No. 8 by Collegiate Baseball, No. 21 by Perfect Game, No, 26 in the Coaches Poll and No. 28 in both the RPI and NCBWA (Media) Poll.

Admission and parking are free at Bainton Field, but all vehicles are required to be
registered to comply with Rutgers University policy. Only one registration per vehicle is needed for the season.
