Baseball Announces Fall Scrimmage Schedule

Scarlet Knights will play exhibitions against Georgetown and Stony Brook, continue annual alumni game and Scarlet-Black World Series
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 30, 2022) – The Rutgers baseball team announced its fall exhibition slate on Tuesday, which includes a scrimmage against Georgetown at Bainton Field and a trip to Long Island to play Stony Brook.
In addition to their two contests against Di competition, the Scarlet Knights will also continue the annual traditions of their alumni game (Oct. 9) and the Scarlet-Black World Series (Nov. 4-6).
The fall slate begins with a 1 p.m. exhibition against Georgetown at Bainton Field on October 1st. The Hoyas are coming off one of the best seasons in program history, finishing 32-24 (11-10 Big East) and setting program records in wins (32) and home runs (98).
Stony Brook is coming off a very successful season, as the Seawolves went 27-25 in the spring, including a 21-9 mark in the America East.
On October 9th, Rutgers will host its annual alumni game as part of alumni weekend in New Jersey. The current roster will take on a team of alumni on Sunday before the Scarlet Knights Baseball Golf Outing on Monday, October 10th.
Wrapping up the fall schedule is the Scarlet-Black World Series, which is the program's annual intrasquad series at the end of fall ball.
