PISCATAWAY, N.J. — No. 8/9 Rutgers men's lacrosse welcomes St. John's for a matinee game on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The contest begins at 3 p.m. ET at SHI Stadium and will be streamed on B1G+ with Dom Savino and Rick Mercurio on the call.
ABOUT THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
With 67 total caused turnovers, Ethan Rall is in a tie for second all-time with Jacob Fradkin (2009-12). One more caused turnover on Tuesday will grant him sole possession of second place.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
The Red Storm finished the 2022 campaign with a 2-12 record with their wins coming over Manhattan and Fairfield. SJU is 0-3 in its first few contests this spring. Most recently, the Red Storm fell at home to Hofstra, 12-16, on Saturday.
St. John's leading scorer is sophomore Brian Kelly, with eight goals. The attackman holds the program record for most points in a season by a true freshman (44), which he set a season ago. Senior captain Connor Kalmus is also providing a bulk of the Red Storm offense through three games with his seven goals. Two-time captain Corey Hall has provided strong defense for SJU in his second season with the program. In 2022, the graduate student ranked second on the team in caused turnovers (14) and ground balls (25).
