2016 (Freshman): Played in nine games with six at bats as a reserve catcher ... drew two walks and singled ... picked up a walk at No. 21 Michigan (5/8) ... recorded first career hit with a single in the first game against the Wolverines (5/6) ... walked, scored and added an assist defensively versus Nebraska (4/30) ... stepped in as catcher at Wagner (4/20) ... saw action as a pinch hitter in game two of series at Ohio State (4/16) ... made collegiate debut as a catcher in the 20-4 win over Monmouth (3/29).
Prior to Rutgers: A four-year varsity starter at East Brunswick ... named school's Male Athlete of the Year as a senior and junior ... hit .421 with 15 stolen bases, three home runs and 18 runs during senior season ... named All-Red Division in 2014 and 2015 ... earned All-GMC and all-area honors as a senior ... as a junior, hit .368 with 12 steals, 21 runs and 18 RBIs ... batted .361 sophomore year ... also played high school basketball for the Bears.
Personal: Son of Colleen McNamara, who played softball at Rutgers ... has three siblings: Kirstie, Taylor and Tanner ... an economics major.
