2019 (Freshman): Played in 37 games with 28 starts (17 at second base, 11 at shortstop) ... scored seven times, picked up 11 hits, walked 11 times and stole four bases ... had 5-of-6 RBIs with two outs ... part of 18 double plays and totaled 61 assists defensively ... reached on a single, a walk and a hit by pitch and scored twice at No. 21 Indiana (5/17) ... turned a double play to save the lead in the win over Northwestern (5/11) after hitting a two-run triple in the first game of the series (5/10) ... hit a double, a single, walked and stole a base in the win at Penn State (5/4) ... came through with a two-out RBI single against Purdue (4/21) ... ripped a two-out RBI single, stole a base and made a diving play up the middle defensively to end a jam in the first win over Michigan State (4/12) ... added an RBI at Lafayette (4/10) ... scored two runs in the win at Iowa (4/6) ... hit an RBI double at Florida Gulf Coast (3/15) ... drew two walks at Old Dominion (3/3) ... walked twice and scored in the win over Butler (2/22) ... started all three games at shortstop in collegiate debut at Miami (2/15-17), picking up a single, a stolen base and a run scored on Opening Day.

Prior Rutgers: Competed at Brentwood High School for five seasons after joining team in eighth grade … serves as a captain … named all-league and all-county … has played travel baseball for the Brentwood Braves since 2009 and also part of the East Coast Lumberjacks since 2016 … additionally a member of the Brentwood swimming team since ninth grade and was a captain and all-league selection … earned Academic Excellence in AP World History and Spanish … part of the President's 1300+ Club and Athletes Helping Athletes.

Personal: Son of Melvin and Patricia Soto … has three siblings, Leo, Emma and Rachel … has an older cousin, Nina Soto, who plays lacrosse at Adelphi.
