Why Rutgers? "I chose Rutgers because of their academic reputation and the opportunity to play at a Big Ten school.”
- Went 6-for-18 at Charleston inlcuding three hits in the series finale, adding two RBIs and three runs (2/13-15)
- Played in 55 games, making 52 starts for the Trailblazers at second base, outfield and designated hitter
- Slashed .347/.484/.642, led team with 1.126 OPS,12 home runs and 69 runs scored, adding 12 doubles, four triples, 51 RBIs and tying the team lead with 13 stolen bases
- Named First Team All-Conference Carolinas
- Had a hitting streak of 21 games during the season
- 2-for-4 in NCAA Tournament win over Lander with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored (5/17)
- 5-for-11 against Limestone and Lee, hitting two home runs, two doubles, driving in three and scoring five times (4/12-15)
- 4-for-10 against Emmanuel with three home runs, a double, seven RBIs and six runs scored (3/7-8)
- Set a career high in hits, RBIs and runs at USC Beaufort, going 5-for-6 with a home run, triple, four RBIs and seven runs scored (1/31)

Ranked as the No. 467 overall recruit in the country, No. 24 player in North Carolina and No. 8 shortstop in the state by Prep Baseball Report … ranked as the No. 491 overall recruit in the country, No. 21 player in North Carolina and No. 6 middle infielder in the state by Perfect Game … played varsity baseball at Watauga … hit .307 as a senior in 2023 with seven home runs, a triple, six doubles, 31 RBIs, 27 runs scored and 10 stolen bases … hit .488 as a sophomore with a triple, three doubles, 15 runs scored and 12 stolen bases … also ran track in high school.
Son of Rene and Tracie Salinas … has one sister, Anasofia … intends to study economics.
