THE FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

Rowing placed 11th at the NCAA Championship in Indianapolis this past weekend. The varsity 8 and varsity 4 boats finished 10th, and the second varsity eight boat 14th, in the first NCAA Championship berth for the program in 18 years. (RVision: NCAA recap)
Graduate student Chris Mirabelli (javelin), sophomore Taj Burgess (400m) and freshman Reanda Richards (400m hurdles) will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held Wednesday through Saturday in Austin, Texas. (live results)
Rising senior Chantelle Swaby will compete for Jamaica at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup June 7-July 7 in France. Swaby is one of three Scarlet Knights on World Cup rosters, joining Team USA's Carli Lloyd and Canada's Shannon Woeller.
A school-record 145 student-athletes were recognized by the Big Ten as Spring 2019 Academic All-Conference to elevate RU's 2018-19 total to a record-setting 276 honorees, after 46 and 85 were selected in the winter and fall, respectively.
Wrestling head coach Scott Goodale was named the 2019 Dan Gable Coach of the Year by WIN Magazine after leading RU to a 9th place NCAA Championships finish in March with two individual national champions.

Rowing

Placed 11th at the 2019 NCAA Championship at the Indianapolis Rowing Center at Eagle Creek Park, its best finish in program history (RVision: day one, day two, day three recaps).

Men's Track & Field

Associate Head Coach Robert Farrell was named the USTFCCCA Mid Atlantic Assistant Coach of the Year.
Chris Mirabelli (javelin) and Taj Burgess (400m) will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. A three-time All-American, Mirabelli will compete on Wednesday (7:45 p.m., ESPN3). A 2018 Second Team All-American, Burgess, will compete in the 400m semifinals on Wednesday (9 p.m., ESPN2).

Women's Track & Field

Freshman Reanda Richards (400m hurdles) will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Quarterfinal racing is 10 p.m. Thursday (ESPN2), with the top two from each of three heats, plus the two next-best times, advancing to finals on Saturday (7:57 p.m., ESPN2).

Football

Four game times and two network assignments were announced as the Birthplace of College Football celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2019.

Field Hockey

Had six players selected for the roster of the 2019 Young Women's National Championship.

Men's Golf

Released its 2019-20 schedule.
Christopher Gotterup and Tony Jiang were named 2019 PING Division I Northeast All-Region.

Tennis

Will host the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit tournament June 29 to July 1. Registration is now open.

Men's Basketball

Announced it will meet St. Bonaventure in the first-ever James Naismith Classic presented by Citi at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019.

Freshman catcher Katie Wingert added to a growing list of accolades with the Scarlet Knights' first ever selection to the All-ECAC First Team.

Baseball

Announced a change in program leadership.
2019 summer league assignments.
Junior Tevin Murray earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors after posting a 1.75 conference ERA.

Men's Lacrosse

Three student-athletes were named USILA All-Americans.
Four student-athletes earned All-ECAC honors.
Four student-athletes were selected to participate in the USILA North/South Senior All-Star Game.
Eleven alumni are on professional lacrosse team rosters as seasons for both Major League Lacrosse and the Premiere Lacrosse League began last weekend.

Women's Lacrosse

Senior captain Christine DiLullo competed in the 2019 IWLCA Senior All-Star Game on Saturday in Sparks, Maryland.
